Alex Flett; the Demarco Foundation & the Dancer Suite 1994
In 1993 I had an exhibition of the Dante etchings in Amsterdam at the theatre which is the home of the National Ballet of the Netherlands. While visiting the show, i was invited into the practise studios and decided to make some drawings of the dancers working. The results were a series of studies which later in 1994 were turned into a suite of Xerographs with the help of the Xerox Company in Glasgow.
At the time I had given up all the teaching and was offered the chance to exhibit both the Dante Suite of etchings and the Xerographic Dancer Suite of prints at the Demarco Foundation.
From this, I went on to help Richard as his Venue Manager for the 1994 Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
